From rekindling a love for the outdoors or finding freedom on the water, you’ll feel rejuvenated and will discover just how open to new challenges you are. Pure Magic is more than just sport and lifestyle; it’s a community of people who love coming together and supporting each other, sharing the water and lots of laughs. We promise you an unforgettable and unique experience.
Our Story
Francois Colussi and Catherine Etienne met in Waterford in 2001, when Francois was giving his first kite lessons in Tramore. A friendship started and they kept in touch. Catherine went on to work in Spain and Francois headed to New Zealand.
Ireland was always beckoning Francois and in 2005 he returned and began giving kitesurfing lessons on Dollymount Strand. By 2006 Catherine and Francois’ twin brother Christophe joined him in setting up Pure Magic Watersports, followed in 2010 by Pure Magic Achill.
Friendship and family are at the core of the business.
From Dublin To Achill Island
In 2010 the Pure Magic team opened Pure Magic on Achill Island in Mayo. We also created The Lodge for guests to dine and stay over in, creating a community around the business.
The last pieces of the jigsaw are the Events and Corporate activities. Pure Magic has organised small and large scale events and festivals and it’s our pleasure and privilege to bring people to cool events.
