CAR
From Castlebar take the N59 to Newport. Turn right at intersection for N59 to Mulrany. Follow N59 through Mulrany town and as you pass the Mulrany Park Hotel, continue straight and branch left onto the Achill road R319.
Continue towards Achill/Achill sound and over the Michel Devitt Bridge, which connects Achill island to the mainland (landmark is Sweeny’s supermarket) and continue straight for signs to Keel village). Keep driving on the main road until you reach Keel village. At the bottom of the village, you will see the “Minaun View Pub/ petrol station ( with irish colors on petrol pumps), turn right after the pub, follow the road for 2km and after the first bridge (there is only one), turn right, drive up for 1.5km and we are on the left handside!!!
If you arrive in Keem Beach, that means you missed the turn right,
If you arrive in the deserted village, that means you missed the bridge turn
If you are in middle of sheep on a hill then that means you are completely lost … good luck! Ask any local friend
